Fox News Lib Commenter: Questioning Elizabeth Warren’s Bogus Indian Heritage Only Appeals To “White Boys”…

Oozing classiness.

Tucker Carlson: “Having a great grandparent who may or may not have been Native American is not a qualification. Being 1/32nd some racial group is not a qualification, okay, it’s an accident of history. It’s something over which you had no control and for which in a just society you would not be rewarded.”

Jehmu Greene:  “To question this woman on her qualifications is going to be something that does appeal to folks like, voters like you, bow tie and white boys.”

CNN ANCHOR HAS TESTY EXCHANGE WITH ALLEN WEST OVER COMMUNIST REMARKS: ‘NAME NAMES’

Via: The Blaze

Allen West’s comments that there are nearly 80 Communists in the House just won’t go away. And CNN is making sure of that.

CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien, for example, had a testy exchange with West on Thursday morning, confronting him on the remarks and demanding he “name names.”

From the beginning, O’Brien was combative, vehemently disagreeing with Allen West regarding Ted Nugent’s controversial recent comments. Then they turned to West’s own remarks. After playing the clip, O’Brien asked him about it, and West said that Communists have “renamed themselves progressive” but the ideology has stayed the same. Mediaite picks it up from there with a transcript:

“So name names for me,” O’Brien said. “Start naming the 78 to 81…”

“Oh, we don’t have to…” West countered.

“Oh, we do! I’m dying to know,” O’Brien pressed. “Which are the members of the…”

“You can go look up the progressive caucus…” interrupted West.

“I got ‘em right here!” O’Brien interjected — and seemingly out of thin air pulled out a list of the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

“When then you’ve got the names,” West said.

“So Keith Ellison is a communist?” asked O’Brien. “Raúl Grijalva is a communist?”

“Well, look, I’m just talking about the fact that the ideology and principles — you can call it whatever you want…”

“Tammy Baldwin is a communist? Judy Chu is a communist?” O’Brien continued.

“You can call it whatever you want,” West replied.

“Yeah, but I want to know what you’re calling it,” O’Brien said.

“I’m calling it this,” West clarified. “Communist, progressive, Marxist, statist, another term being used. I’m looking at things they believe in. If you don’t think we have to stand upon truth and be able to identify and clearly contrast the different principles and values and ideologies of governance here in this country, then we’re never going to get to the fact of accepting the true debate happening in America. We don’t need a bureaucratic nanny state. We need to stay a Constitutional Republic. I think a lot of people need to study that and understand what it is.”

CNN hasn’t posted the video, but Mediaite captured it:

By the way, here‘s the original video of West’s comments:

CONGRESSMEN FAIL TO INCLUDE ‘DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA’ MEMBERSHIP IN THEIR ELECTION CAMPAIGNS

John G. Winder, The Cypress Times

Sheila Jackson Lee and President Obama

Sheila Jackson Lee (Dem, TX 18th) serves as Vice Chair

An article appeared nearly one year ago in the Canada Free press outlining the intertwining relationship between the progressive movement, the socialist movement, communism, the Democratic Socialists of America, The Congressional Black Caucus and elected representatives of the United States House of Representatives. The article was completely ignored by the U.S. press.

On August 13, 2009, JB Williams of the Canada Free Presswrote the following:

“After decades of failed attempts to take over America via their third party initiatives that couldn’t break America’s two party system, leaders of both the Communist Party USA and Socialist Party USA chose a new strategy.

“Both being the ultimate ‘party of the working class stiff,’ they joined forces in a new venture that would work within the US two party system, by hijacking control of one of the two primary parties. As the Democrat Party had already spent years identifying itself as the “party of the working class,” engaging in socio-economic class warfare as its primary method for expanding its political power, it was ripe for the hijacking.

“Together, Communist Party and Socialist Party leaders established the Democratic Socialists of America, and they share a common ideology which is now the platform and mantra of today’s DNC – CPUSA.

“To gain full control of the Democrat Party, DSA leadership established two congressional legislative bodies, headed by DSA/CPUSA/SPUSA members. Today, these are the two congressional bodies in control of congress.

“They are the Congressional Progressive Caucus established by Socialist Party member Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and the Congressional Black Caucus established by Communist Party member John Conyers of Michigan.

“ALL members of these two congressional committees represent the Democratic Socialists of America, as both committees are the creation of, and operate under the control of DSAUSA.”

Is Mr. Williams way off-base in reporting that the DSA is working with the hope of dramatically changing America?  The answer to that question is found in the stated beliefs of the Democratic Socialists of America.

A publication written by the DSA titled “What is Democratic Socialism? Questions and Answers from the Democratic Socialists of America” explains their agenda for America.

The DSA’s view of private corporations – (emphasis mine)

In the short term we can’t eliminate private corporations, but we can bring them under greater democratic control.”

On the notion that a Socialist society would create a lack of desire to work:

“Although a long-term goal of socialism is to eliminate all but the most enjoyable kinds of labor, we recognize that unappealing jobs will long remain. These tasks would be spread among as many people as possible rather than distributed on the basis of class, race, ethnicity, or gender, as they are under capitalism. And this undesirable work should be among the best, not the least, rewarded work within the economy.”

Targeting America’s youth in promoting a socialist agenda:

“Young people are needed in today’s struggles as well: for universal health care and stronger unions, against welfare cuts and predatory multinational corporations. Schools, colleges and universities are important to American political culture. They are the places where ideas are formulated and policy discussed and developed. Being an active part of that discussion is a critical job for young socialists.”

How does the DSA propose to pay for a Socialist USA?

“Most advanced industrial democracies provide these goods through progressive taxation, control of health care costs (either by providing publicly funded national health insurance or regulated insurance options offered by nonprofit health care providers), and the expenditure of a smaller portion of their GDP on the military than does the United States.”

Sound familiar yet?

Regarding separation and differentiation from the Democrat party, the DSA both asks and answers the question emphatically.

“Aren’t you a party that’s in competition with the Democratic Party for votes and support?

No, we are not a separate party. Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious, and community organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party. We work with those movements to strengthen the party’s left wing, represented by theCongressional Progressive Caucus.”

What is the Congressional Progressive Caucus? The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) is the largest caucus within the Democratic caucus in the United States Congress with 83 declared members. A list of all 83 members, broken down by state is available HERE.

The membership includes these notable Representatives

Sheila Jackson-Lee – (TX-18, Houston)*

Eddie Bernice Johnson – (TX 30, Dallas)*

Charles Rangle – (NY 15, Harlem)*

John Conyers – (MI 14, Detroit)*

Barney Frank – (MA 4, Newton)

Alan Grayson – (FL 8, Orlando)

6 Representatives from Illinois are members –

Bobby Rush – (IL-1, Chicago)*

Jesse Jackson, Jr.- (IL-2, Chicago Heights)*

Luis Gutierrez – (IL-4, Chicago)

Danny Davis – (IL-7, Chicago)*

Jan Schakowsky – (IL-9, Chicago)

Phil Hare – (IL-17, Rock Island)

California has the most members with 15 –

Lynn Woolsey (CA-6, Santa Rosa) – Co-Chair

George Miller (CA-7, Richmond) – Chairman

Barbara Lee (CA-9, Oakland) – Chairwoman*

Pete Stark (CA-13, Fremont)

Michael Honda (CA-15, San Jose)

Sam Farr (CA-17, Monterey)

Henry Waxman (CA-30, Los Angeles)

Xavier Becerra (CA-31, Los Angeles)

Maxine Waters (CA-35, Inglewood)*

Laura Richardson (CA-37, Long Beach)*

Linda Sánchez (CA-39, Lakewood)

Bob Filner (CA-51, San Diego)

There is also one stand out former member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus:

Nancy Pelosi (CA -8) who resigned her membership upon becoming minority leader of the house.

There is a great deal of overlap in the membership of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Black Caucus as noted above by an “*”.  These two powerful Caucuses within the United States Congress have combined forces to push the agenda of the Democratic Socialists of America.

The Democratic Socialists of America also boasts an impressive list of your elected representatives, currently seeking your vote again in November.

Since all of the elected representatives listed above have made the decision to give their time and energy to serving in one, two or all three of these groups, how come little is mentioned about this particular activity in their individual campaigns?

A search of both Sheila Jackson Lee’s official website as a member of Congress and of her campaign website finds no mention of the DSA whatsoever.

The campaign website doesn’t mention Lee’s involvement with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, but Lee’s Congressional website does say that she is a member of 45 caucuses and both the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Progressive Caucus are listed on that site.

California’s Pete Stark who recently made headlines by saying, “the federal government can do anything,” also fails to mention his association with either the Congressional Progressive Caucus or the Democrat Socialists of America. And on and on.  As you look into the information these politician filter back to the public about their actions and their involvement, you will find no mention of their activities with the DSA, and little to no mention of their involvement with the CPC.

In November Americans will go to the polls to elect a new congress with every seat in the U.S. House up for grabs.  Is your elected representative on any of the above lists? Do you agree with the stated policies and agenda of the DSA?

The DSA concludes its propaganda with a pitch to join them:

“We are part of an international movement fostering solidarity across national borders in order to construct an alternative to the current order. But as residents of the most powerful capitalist nation, we recognize that our greatest act of international solidarity is to build a vibrant, multicultural left in the United States. We invite you to join us in this effort, an effort worthy of a lifetime of commitment.”

If you’re not ready to join in building a new world order and vibrant left, then ask yourself who has the responsibility to protect America from this type of socialist agenda?

That’s easy.   You do.

Hilda Solis and her connections to the CPUSA

Via: Keywiki.org

Education/early career

In 1979, Solis earned a Bachelor Degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona . In 1981, Hilda Solis earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California . During the President Jimmy CarterAdministration, Solis worked in the White House Office of Hispanic Affairs as an intern. Solis was later appointed as a Management Analyst with the Office of Management and Budget in the Civil Rights Division.[1]

Political beginnings

Solis served in the California State Assembly from 1992 to 1994 and made history by becoming the first Hispanic woman elected to the California State Senate (1994-2000). In 2003 Solis became the first Hispanic woman to serve on the powerful House Committee on Energy and Commerce, she served as Vice Chair of the Environment and Hazardous Materials (EHM) Subcommittee and a member of the Health and Telecommunications subcommittees. Solis also served on the House Committee on Natural Resources.[1]

Greetings to the Communist Party

In June 1996 the Communist Party USA paper People’s Weekly World held a tribute event in Los Angeles for unionists Jerry Acosta and Gil Cedillo.

The Southern California Friends of the People’s Weekly World tribute to two of Los Angeles’ finest labor leaders, Jerry Acosta and Gilbert Cedillo, became a dynamic rally of elected officials, activists, labor and community leaders in solidarity with labor struggles and in the fight to defeat the ultra-right in November…
“The People’s Weekly World and all of us in this room feel very strongly about who we honor today,” said Evelina Alarcon, chair of the Southern California District and national secretary of the Communist Party USA, one of the emcees of the tribute. “Jerry Acosta and Gilbert Cedillo represent the new fightback vision of the Sweeney, Trumka, Chavez-Thompson leadership in the AFL-CIO. They represent the rank and file that is pushing from the bottom for that new vision!”

According to the World, Los Angeles City Councilman Richard Alarcon, brother of Communist Evelina Alarcon, spoke on behalf of the council which adopted a resolution honoring Acosta and Cedillo;

“Gil Cedillo and Jerry Acosta have changed the whole dynamic of what it means to be for the working class and what it means to fight for workers rights. Because of them and other labor leaders, we have seen a resurgence of strength of the least empowered in our country…

Presentations to the honorees were also made by Clara James, chair of the Community Affairs Commission of the Second Baptist Church, on behalf of Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Antonio Aguilar, on behalf of State Senator Hilda Solis, California’s first Latina elected to the State Senate, who, along with labor, led the drive to put a minimum wage increase initiative on the ballot…[2]

Los Angeles Martinez Jobs Bill support rally

On October 18 1997, Matthew Martinez, State senators Hilda Solis and Diane Watson, City Councilman Richard AlarconMiguel Contreras, executive secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles Federation of Labor and Geraldine Washington, president of the Los Angeles NAACPaddressed a Los Angeles “show us the living wage jobs” rally, as part of a national day of action, calling on Congress to pass the Martinez Jobs Bill. there were concurrent rallies in nearly 20 cities, organized by the Communist Party USA dominated National Labor-Community Coalition For Public Works Jobs. Pastor Cecil Murray of the First AME Church in South Los Angeles sponsored the rally.[3]

Communist support

Hilda Solis also enjoyed strong union and Communist Party USA backing) when she ran for U.S. Congress in 2000. In a report submitted to the Communist Party in November 2000 Evelina Alarcon, Vice Chair CPUSA and Chair Southern California District, commented on Hilda Solis’s Congressional victory;

The monumental victories which are occurring in Los Angeles electorally and in the workplace are because of the coalition building that the labor movement is doing with the Latino and African American community. In Los Angeles, the Labor Federation not only targeted three congressional districts but it had organized 250 volunteers to help State Senator Hilda Solis win her Congressional seat by turning out the union household and Latino vote…
We in the Party can also be proud because our members were involved in all the targeted electoral efforts…[2]

Cuba trip

From April 11 – 14, 2001 Hilda Solis was in Cuba for unspecified purposes. The trip which was funded by the William C. Velasquez Institute, cost $1,214.50.[4]

Cesar Chavez walk

Thousands of people from across Southern California joined the 4th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Walk in East Los Angeles on Saturday, April 6, 2002 –marking the ninth anniversary of the legendary farm worker and civil rights leader’s death and the 40th anniversary of the United Farm Workers. Walkers who assembled Saturday at East Los Angeles College Stadium for the walk included Chavez’s widow, Helen, other Chavez family members and UFW President Arturo Rodriguez. Also participating were Hollywood figures including Martin SheenJackie GuerraPete Leal,Austin MarquezEdward James OlmosEsai MoralesMike FarrellEd Begley, Jr.Marisol NicholsRichard CocaEvelina FernandezMike GomezSal LopezDyana OrtelliJose Luis Valuenzuela; and Michele Greene. Many elected officials also joined the walk, including U.S. Rep. Hilda Solis, state Sen. Richard Alarcon, Sen. Gloria Romero, Sen. Nell Soto, Speaker of the Assembly Herb Wesson, Assemblymembers Marco FirebaughJudy Chu and Paul Koretz, and Board of Equalization member John Chang. After a brief welcome by emcees Sid Garcia (ABC7) and Nancy Agosto (KMEX-TV), participants traveled a five-kilometer route through the neighborhood before returning for free music and entertainment. Sponsors supporting the 4th Annual Cesar Chavez Walk included ABC7, KMEX, La Opinion, Super Estrella and L.A. County SupervisorGloria Molina.[5]

Democratic Socialists of America conference

An “insurgent” Hilda Solis was a keynote speaker at the 2005 Democratic Socialists of America national conference “Twenty-First Century Socialism” in Los Angeles, with DSA leaders Peter Dreier and Harold Meyerson.
Saturday evening delegates recognized the contributions of DSA vice chair and Washington Post]columnist Harold Meyerson, Occidental College sociologist and longtime DSAer Peter Dreier and insurgent California Congress member Hilda Solis (D) who in turn provided in-depth perspectives of the political scene.

Other speakers included ACORN chief organizer Wade RathkeKent Wong of the UCLA Labor Centerand Roxana Tynan of the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy.[6]

“Progressive” Los Angeles

Leading Los Angeles DSA leader Peter Dreier wrote in DSA’s Democratic Left, Winter 2006[7]on the “progessive” networks around MayorAntonio Villaraigosa and Hilda Solis;

Antonio Villaraigosa….He was a union organizer. He was the head of the ACLU. He came out the barrio and grew up very poor. His father was an alcoholic, beat his mother—he overcame incredible obstacles. He dropped out of high school, and went back and then graduated from UCLA. He worked his way up through the labor movement and then was elected to the state legislature, becoming Speaker of the Assembly.
When he was term-limited out of the legislature he ran for the LA City Council and was elected. When he ran for Mayor the first time in 2001 he lost, but he ran again and won in 2005. Now we have a progressive mayor, thanks in large part to this impressive network of grassroots organizations, labor unions and community and environmental organizations. Many of them have lifted up some of their leaders into positions of electoral power. It’s a network of activists that work closely with elected officials, like Congresswoman Hilda Solis, and it’s just remarkable what L.A. has become.

Woolsey/Sheinbaum fund raiser

Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, the first Member of Congress to call on the President to bring our troops home, was be in Los Angeles on Saturday February 4th 2006, for a ‘very exciting but critical fundraiser against the most well-known, well-financed challenger she’s ever faced”. woolsey was facing a primary challenge from a termed-out Assemblyman Joe Nation, a moderate Democrat who has been critical of her stand on the war and on bringing home our troops. He is raising money from people who have given money to Tom DeLay and Bush-Cheney and his legislative district covers 60+% of Congresswoman Woolsey’s district. Congresswoman Woolsey is a “champion of equal rights, civil liberties, protecting the environment and fighting for single payer healthcare. Congresswoman Woolsey must be re-elected by the same victory margin she has had in the past to send a message to progressives everywhere that’s it IS OK to be courageous, and to not back down on issues that matter.” The Host Committee for this fundraiser includes: Ben AffleckEd AsnerWarren BeattyJodie EvansJames CromwellMatt DamonTom HaydenWendy HerzogMimi KennedyNorman LearStephen RohdeSusie ShannonStanley Sheinbaum & Betty SheinbaumLorraine SheinbergKathy SpillarGloria A. TottenPeg Yorkin; Senator Barbara Boxer; Congressman Joe Baca; Congressman Xavier Becerra; Congresswoman Lois Capps; Congresswoman Jane Harman; Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald; Congresswoman Grace Napolitano; Congresswoman; Lucille Roybal-Allard; Congresswoman Linda Sanchez; Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez; Congressman Adam Schiff; Congresswoman Hilda Solis; Congresswoman Maxine Waters; Congresswoman Diane Watson; Senator Sheila Kuehl and Assemblywoman Karen Bass. The fundraiser was at the Stanley & Betty Sheinbaum residence in Brentwood. Both Sheinbaums have been members of Democratic Socialists of America.[8]

Second Cuba Trip

Congressional Delegation meet with Cuban Foreign Minister, Felipe Perez RoqueCongressional Delegation meet with Cuban Foreign Minister, Felipe Perez Roque

From Dec. 15 – Dec. 18, 2006, a Congressional Delegation of ten congressmen and women from the U.S. House of Representatives visited Havana, Cuba. Leading the delegation wereJeff Flake and Bill Delahunt. The other participants were Hilda SolisJo Ann EmersonJerry MoranMichael ConawayJane HarmanLincoln DavisGregory Meeks and Jim McGovern. The delegation met with Cuban Foreign Minister, Felipe Perez Roque and other communist officials. The delegation asked to meet with Raul Castro during their weekend visit to Cuba, but there was no word on whether such a meeting would take place.[9]

Socialist International

Hilda Solis also has indirect ties to the Socialist International. In June 2008 the SI Migrations Committeeheld a Migrations Reform, Integration, Rights forum in Los Angeles Democratic Socialists of America, the SI’s main U.S. affiliate was represented by DSA National Director Frank Llewellyn plus Duane Campbell and Dolores Delgado Campbell of DSA’s Anti Racism network and the Latino networks. California State Senator Gil Cedillo, was also in attendance. Hilda Solis was formally represented by Elena Henry, a caseworker from Solis’s East Los Angeles Office[10].

Supporting Hillary Clinton

In 2007 Hilda Solis, endorsed Sen. Hillary Clinton for president and signed on to co-chair of the Clinton campaign’s Environmental and Energy Task Force and co-chair of the National Hispanic Leadership Council. Solis was joined by her friend and Democratic Socialists of America honorary chair, Dolores Huerta-Solis and Huerta had the honour of formally nominating Hillary Clinton for the Democratic primary. Together Huerta and Solis campaigned for Clinton through California and Nevada on a tour themed “Juntos Con Hillary, Una Vida Mejor” (Together with Hillary, A Better Life).

Human Rights Council

Solis was elected to be Vice Chair of the Helsinki Commission’s General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions. She is the only U.S. elected official to serve on this committee.[1]

Obama’s Latino Advisory Council

In August 2008 the Obama Campaign announced the formation of its National Latino Advisory Council, highlighting the continued growth of support Senator Obama is receiving in the Latino community nationwide.[11]

According to the campaign, the advisory council is made up of key labor, faith, community leaders, and elected officials from across the country and will serve as an advisory council for the campaign on issues important to the Latino community as well as play an active role reaching out and organizing Latinos in their communities and across the country.

Its members included: Federico Pena, Chair, National Hispanic Advisory Council, Former Mayor of Denver and Former Secretary of Transportation, National Obama Campaign Co-Chair;
Geoconda Arguello-Kline, President, Nevada Culinary Workers Union
; Congressman Xavier BecerraAdolfo Carrion, Bronx Borough President;
Henry Cisneros, Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development;
Bishop Wilfredo De Jesus, Vice President of Social Justice, National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference;
Congressman Charlie Gonzalez;
 Congressman Raul Grijalva
; Congressman Luis Gutierrez;
Ambassador Luis Lauredo, Former Ambassador to the Organization of American States;
Patricia Madrid, Former Attorney General of New Mexico; Eliseo Medina, Executive Vice President, SEIU
; Congresswoman Linda Sanchez; Congresswoman Hilda Solis; and
Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez. Said former Clinton supporter Hilda Solis:

“As the Latino community continues to get to know Senator Obama, it is clear that he is the right candidate for our issues and is the best candidate to deliver the change that America desperately needs… Senator Obama not only understands the struggles and diversity of our community but because of his personal history and background he will stand with us and be a fighter for our issues. I look forward to continuing to work to elect Senator Obama as the next President of the United States.”

Inspired by Chavez and Huerta

Rep. Hilda Solis on the 81st anniversary of Cesar Chavez’ birthday April 2, 2008 (view on Youtube)

Hilda Solis claims inspiration from Cesar Chavez of the United Farm Workers and Dolores Huerta of UFW and Democratic Socialists of America. She has tried to get the U.S. Congress to honor both activists.[12][13]

Congressional Progressive Caucus

Hilda Solis was a long time member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. On November 19 2008 the Congressional Progressive Caucus announced its elected leadership for the 111th Congress:[14]

American Rights at Work

Solis and Kathleen Sebelius at the Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Awards Celebration, June 24, 2008

As at Dec. 18, 2008, Hilda Solis served on the Board of Directors forAmerican Rights at Work. Following Obama’s announcement that he had selected Solis as the nation’s next Secretary of Labor, American Rights at Work Executive Director Mary Beth Maxwell stated: “Solis… will champion common sense policies like the Employee Free Choice Act to restore balance and create an economy that works for everyone”. Chair of the Board, David Bonior, commented: “I’ve worked with [Solis] for years in Congress and she sits on our Board of Directors – she is a terrific leader who I know first hand will work tirelessly on behalf of America’s working families”.[15]

Labor/socialists welcome appointment

Hida Solis’ appointment as secretary of labor was welcomed by several key labor and socialist figures including Andy SternAnna BurgerStuart Appelbaum and her colleagues at American Rights at WorkDavid Bonior,John Sweeney and Mary Beth Maxwell. According to the Communist Party USA’s People’s Weekly World[16]

One labor source said Solis’ name was put forward by Service Employees President Andrew Stern, whose union — along with theChange To Win coalition — endorsed Obama’s presidential candidacy long before the AFL-CIO did. SEIU is the biggest union in CTW.
But leaders ranging from CTW Chair Anna Burger to AFL-CIO President John Sweeney to RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum all welcomed the Solis appointment.
So did former House Minority Whip David Bonior (D-Mich.), now chair of pro-labor American Rights At Work, and ARW Executive Director Mary Beth Maxwell. Both had been on lists circulated for the job…Maxwell. Bonior dropped out of the running to endorse her. Both praised Solis, who sits on the group’s board…

Bonior, citing his work with Solis since she entered Congress in 2001 — he was there until 2004 — called her “a terrific leader who I know first-hand will work tirelessly on behalf of America’s working families.”
Sweeney said the AFL-CIO is “thrilled at the prospect of having Solis as our nation’s next Labor Secretary…The AFL-CIO looks forward to working with Solis as she charts new territory for our nation’s working men and women.”

Democratic Socialists of America vice chair Harold Meyerson wrote on American Prospect‘s group blog Tapped[17];

What does Rep. Hilda Solis, Barack Obama’s selection for secretary of labor, bring to the job? Only a record of passionate commitment to working people, a high level of political smarts, and some genuine displays of raw guts that could make her a star of American liberalism...
In the House, Solis has continued to champion labor causes, immigrants’ rights, women’s health and environmental protections. She also worked closely with Rahm Emanuel in recruiting Democratic House candidates from the Southwest and Latino-dominated districts, so she brings to her new job a strong relationship with Obama’s incoming chief-of-staff. Now, she’s in the key position to promote the Employee Free Choice Act, which seems likely to be the most contentious issue on Obama’s agenda. But Solis has never been deterred by controversy.

Obama appointment

In January 2009, Solis was nominated by the Obama administration for the position of Secretary in the Department of Labor and confirmed in February 2009. Her official title is “Chairperson of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee”. Sen. Ted Kennedy. was in charge of Solis’ confirmation.[18][1]

Praised socialist labor leader Jack Henning

California labor leader and one time Democratic Socialists of America member Jack Henning died in June 2009. The son of a charter member of the plumbers union, Henning rose to become the longtime head of the California Labor Federation before his retirement in 1996. U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis paid posthumous tribute to Henning’s lifelong commitment to workers’ struggles. “Jack Henning was a champion, visionary and unwavering voice on behalf of the working women and men of the United States and the world,” Solis said. “We are all indebted to his leadership, and he will be missed.”[19]

Seattle Teen Beaten by Black Muslim, Ahmed Mohamed - Beating Classified as Hate Crime

PALMDALE, Calif. (PP) – Seven black teens have been arrested after being encouraged to commit a hate crime by cries from New Black Panther leader Mikhail Muhammad, Spike Lee, Barack Obama and Rev. Al Sharpton.

The 7 blacks attacked a innocent 15-year-old White-Hispanic boy while he was simply walking home from school in Southern California, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office. During the assault, the black teens made racially derogatory statements toward the Hispanic boy that were captured on video.

WEST SEATTLE—

One of the men charged in the brutal beating of a West Seattle teen has been arrested. Jonathan Baquiring, 21, was arrested Tuesday evening. An arrest warrrant is still out for Ahmed Mohamed, 23.

Ahmed Mohamed Accused of Beating White Teen in Seattle

Both are charged with malicious harassment, a hate crime. It was a crime that stunned a Seattle community, a teenager savagely beaten and burned for hours because the color of his skin. Now, arrest warrants have been issued for the men accused of the heinous attack.

For the first time in months there’s some relief on Tim McClellan’s face. “Hopefully, it’s just a matter of time until they get picked up. It’s been a while, it’s been real aggravating,” said McClellan. In January 5 blacks and 1 white wannabe in Chicago also beat up an innocent young boy.  Looks like Barack Obama, the first black president, is dividing America and pushing the USA back to pre 1950′s era.  Many expect Obama,  Sharpton,  Jessie Jackson, Luis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright to be the cause of the heightened racial tensions and civil unrest in America. Gun sales are at an all time high in history of the United States and have increased 60% since Barack Obama became president.

The March 14 beating in Palmdale was captured on video and posted on YouTube, but has since been removed from the site. The seven boys, ages 13 to 16, were arrested Wednesday for investigation of assault and committing a hate crime, Lt. Don Ford said. The attack happened near Cactus Middle School, but Ford didn’t know if any of the teens involved were students there. The video shows as many as 10 boys surrounding the victim and challenging him to a fight. The suspects then began hitting the teen while others watched. During the beating, the teens made racially derogatory statements that were captured on the video, Ford said. Many blame the racist fuel remarks and statements by Al Sharpton, Barack Obama and Luis Farrakhan that have led to more racial tension across the United States. After the victim fell to the ground, the assailants kicked him multiple times in the head, knocked out several teeth and left shoe impressions on his skin, Ford said. The victim was able to get to his feet and escape the onslaught, and will need to undergo dental surgery. The teens who were arrested were identified from the video, which was discovered by a Palmdale sheriff’s deputy and has been retained for evidence. Authorities are not releasing the video. Police are seeking three more suspects. An arraignment date has not been set yet.

DNC Chief Wasserman Schultz Will Be Keynote Speaker At Mustlim Group With Islamist Ties Fundraiser…

Via: Weaselzippers. I wonder is she knows or even cares how they feel about Joooos?

(Sunshine State News) — Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz will be the keynote speaker at the annual fundraising banquet of a Muslim group with some controversial connections.

EMERGE USA — which is aligned with the Florida-based Center for Voter Advocacy — is headed by Khurrum Wahid, a South Florida attorney. According to the Florida Bar, Wahid “has defended individuals charged with allegedly committing or conspiring to commit acts of terrorism.”

According to the organization’s mission statement, “EMERGE [Empowering Motivating Educating Resourceful Grassroots Entities] aims to politically empower and train its constituents to be effective community organizers and work in coalitions to advance beneficial policies and legislation that help protect and enforce the rights afforded by the United States Constitution.”

Critics of EMERGE say a Wahid-led banquet is an odd venue for Wasserman Schultz, a Jewish congresswoman from Fort Lauderdale, to be breaking Halal bread with on April 21.

Among other connections, Wahid has spoken at an event sponsored by the American arm of the South Asian Muslim Brotherhood (Jamaat-e-Islami) and the Islamic Circle of North America, an organization that has been connected to the financing of both al-Qaida and Hamas.

“Wasserman Schultz likes to flaunt her Jewish identity and false pro-Israel persona, but how can she begin to do so when the organization she will be addressing maintains staff who display animosity toward the Jewish state?” asks Joe Kaufman, a Republican candidate seeking to unseat the Democrat in the 23rd Congressional District.

Occupy Wall Street by Thomas Sowell

By Dr. Thomas Sowell

The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama’s America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.

It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and of murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.

It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: of defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been always rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been now shredded and, with them, every person’s guaranteed liberties.
It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and all other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.
It is the America that Obama and the Democrat Party have now created with all the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood, unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.
Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in three years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.

The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America.

“Socialism, in general, has a record of failure that’s so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.”

Dr. Thomas Sowell (A National Humanities Medal Winner)

Democratic governors discuss bypassing Congress with Obama

Via: The HIll

President Obama met with a group of Democratic governors on Friday and discussed plans to work around Congress toward policy goals.

Gov. Jack Markell, the Democratic governor of Delaware and the vice chairman of the National Governors Association, told The Hill that the meeting was “very good” and said many of the governors were responsive to ideas about bypassing Congress.

“There was a sense that none of us should wait, we can’t wait for things to happen in Congress,” Markell said of the meeting. “We’re going to do what we can do [now].”

Obama has positioned himself against Congress as he runs for reelection, arguing lawmakers are failing to solve the country’s problems. “Where Congress won’t act, I will,” he said in October when rolling out a series of executive orders aimed at creating jobs.

Markell said the conversation with Obama did not dwell on Republican opposition to the president’s legislative proposals. Continue reading →

The Russians and American Progressives: Together Again

By: Cliff Kincaid, Accuracy in Media

The Russia Today (RT) Moscow-funded propaganda channel, which is backing the murderous regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, aired a special program on Tuesday night on how progressives in the U.S. can “Take Back the American Dream” by defeating Republicans. The propaganda effort was broadcast throughout the United States and produced in collaboration with major liberal groups such as the Campaign for America’s Future, MoveOn.org and Demos, all of them Soros-funded.

The host was Thom Hartmann, who regards himself as the nation’s number one progressive radio talk-show host.

The “National Teach-In to Take Back the American Dream” featured Robert Reich, former U.S. Secretary of Labor; Heather McGhee of Demos; Leo Hindrey, a businessman and self-styled “Patriotic Millionaire;” Natalie Foster, the co-founder of Rebuild the Dream; and Robert Borosage of the Campaign for America’s Future.

Nobody on the program, which also aired on DISH Network, DirectTV and the Free Speech TV Network, demonstrated any concern about appearing on a Moscow-funded channel to promote the “American dream.”

The Russian regime, which has a habit of murdering journalists and political opponents, has a covert and overt program of manipulation of the Western media, similar to what the old Soviet KGB used to specialize in. Interestingly, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has just posted a blog on The Huffington Post, one of RT’s official “partners” in the media business.

However, demonstrating sensitivity to the charge that he is a paid Russian agent working in the progressive movement, Thom Hartmann has refused to discuss how much the Russians pay him to air his program “The Big Picture” on RT. When I questioned him about this, he actually grabbed my camera recording his response in order to avoid being seen stonewalling.

RT is the same channel that recently announced it was going to host a show with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, now under investigation for espionage against the U.S. The alleged WikiLeaks source for the largest theft of classified documents in U.S. history, Pfc. Bradley Manning, is being formally arraigned on February 23 on charges that include aiding the enemy.

In this video, produced by Accuracy in Media, several Soviet-like broadcasts are shown on RT featuring denunciations of the U.S. This is fairly typical of the fare offered by RT.

The Vladimir Putin regime started the channel in order to promote Russian interests abroad and serve as a cover for Russian intelligence operations. Anti-communist blogger Trevor Loudon calls RT “a propaganda arm of the Putin-Medvedev-KGB-run Russian thugocracy” and notes that former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky has described it as a channel for disinformation and propaganda from the Russian intelligence services. Medvedev is the current Russian president stepping down from the post at Putin’s direction so Putin can run again for president on March 4.

Putin, a former Soviet KGB officer, has just made headlines praising the Russian spies who stole U.S. atom bomb secrets.

Putin said, “You know, when the States already had nuclear weapons and the Soviet Union was only building them, we got a significant amount of information through Soviet foreign intelligence channels.” Putin was undoubtedly referring to atom bomb spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, members of the Communist Party who were executed for stealing U.S. atom bomb secrets on behalf of the Soviet Union.

These days, however, some Russian collaborators operate in the open, such as Hartmann and his ilk.

The purpose of the Hartmann show, a special edition of The Big Picture, was to push President Obama to the left, in terms of promoting more federal government economic programs, and discrediting proposals for smaller government and lower taxes coming from conservatives and Republicans. As such, however, the program may constitute foreign interference in U.S. election campaigns, a violation of federal election law.

The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits foreign corporations such as RT from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly.

For purposes of the law, it can be argued that Hartmann, who is paid an unknown amount by the Russian regime, is operating as an agent of RT and prohibited from electioneering in the U.S.

The “American dream” show was promoted by many other liberal-left groups, including the AFL-CIO, without any hint that it was made possible through the generosity of the Russian regime. The Russia Today channel was referred to in promotional advertising simply as “RT TV,” which is how the channel wants to be known in the U.S., so that its Russian connection can be hidden from the viewing public.

Officially, however, RT is the first Russian 24/7 English-language news channel that promotes the Russian government’s view on global news. RT TV is the American-based arm of the news organization, which is headquartered in Moscow and completely paid for by the Russian regime.

Thom Hartmann used to be a host on Air America, the liberal radio network which went bankrupt because of mismanagement and lack of listeners. His mentality is illustrated by the title over an article on his blog, “Why do Republicans let sick Americans die just to avoid a legislative victory for President Obama?” The post in favor of socialized medicine was written by his wife, pictured here in an unusual pose for a liberal—firing a gun. “Don’t mess with Louise,” the caption says. Louise Hartmann produces his show.

Thom Hartmann serves on the advisory board of Progressive Democrats of America, along with such notables as Medea Benjamin of Code Pink, former Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) leader Tom Hayden, Steve Cobble of the Institute for Policy Studies, and left-wing Democratic members of Congress John Conyers (Michigan), Donna Edwards (Maryland), Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Raul Grijalva (Arizona), Jim McGovern (Massachusetts) and Lynn Woolsey (California).

Kyrsten Sinema: Communist Connected Arizona State Senator to Run For Congress

by Trevor Loudon, TrevorLoudon.com

First term Phoenix area Arizona State Senator Kyrsten Sinema has thrown her hat in the ring to stand for the US House of Representatives from the newly created 9th Congressional District

Kyrsten Sinema

Kyrsten Sinema is widely known as leftist and a “progressive”. however there has been virtually no media scrutiny of Sinema’s documented ties to the Arizona Communist Party – the local affiliate of the pro China/pro Cuba Communist Party USA.

Before becoming an Arizona State Representative, Kyrsten Sinema was a signatory to an advertisement “May Day and Cinco de Mayo greetings” placed in the Communist Party paper People’s Weekly WorldMay 4, 2002. Such ads were traditionally placed in the Communist Party paper every May Day, sponsored by local party clubs, members or supporters

People’s Weekly World May 4, 2002 May Day and Cinco de Mayo greetings
Arizona’s progressive community extends May Day and Cinco de Mayo greetings to all our friends across the country. We commit ourselves to resist the Bush Administration’s drive for ever increasing military spending and a neverending state of war. We must redouble our efforts to build a people’s coalition that will drive the ultra right out of Congress next November.

Co-signing the advertisement with Sinema were Communist Party USA members Joe BernickJack BlawisLem HarrisLorenzo TorrezAnita TorrezCarolyn TrowbridgeSteve Valencia, the Tucson and East Valley Clubs of the Communist Party  and party fronts the Arizona Peace Council and the Salt of the Earth Labor College.

This support for the communist cause was not not a “one off’ or an aberration. In 2003 Sinema again put her name to  the Arizona Communist Party’s May Day greetings page.

Shortly after her first election, as an Arizona state representative  in 2004, Kyrsten Sinema and former State Representative Steve  formed Arizona Together, a  statewide coalition to defeat Arizona’s same-sex marriage ban.

Arizona made history Nov. 7 2006, “when its voters became the first in the nation to reject a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage”, Wrote Arizona Communist Party leader and Arizona Together  activist Joe Bernick ;

Why Arizona? How come voters in more liberal states have voted for similar hateful laws while conservative Arizona voted no?

If you were to believe the pundits in the corporate-owned press, our rejection of Prop. 107 was due to the western libertarian traditions, the spirit of Barry Goldwater — you know them, those right-wing Republicans who are against government interference in our personal business and our bedroom…

So how did we do it? The answer is: educating, organizing and mobilizing.

As soon as proponents started circulating petitions to put 107 on the ballot, opponents brought out their own clipboards, signing up thousands of volunteers. Arizona Together emerged as the campaign committee, chaired by progressive state Rep. Kyrsten Sinema.

Sinema, was a founder of the Arizona State House Progressive Caucus in 2008.

If Kyrsten Sinema makes it to Congress, she will almost certainly join two other Arizona reps Raul Grijalvaand Ed Pastor in the far left Congressional Progressive Caucus. Both Grijalva and Pastor also have ties to the the Arizona Communist Party.

How does a conservative state like Arizona keep on electing Communist aligned public officials?

The answer is a very strong local Communist Party, built originally on the mining industry, and sustained in recent years through work on the illegal immigration issue – a very major part of Communist party USA long term strategy.

Working hand in glove with the Arizona Democratic Party, and lacking any realistic media scrutiny, the Arizona comrades have become a major player in Arizona electoral politics.

Will Kyrsten Sinema become the next truly “Red Rep” from Arizona?
