New Book Disputes Obama Administration’s Account of Bin Laden Raid

(NewsCore) – A new book based on a series of interviews with the Navy SEALs involved in the mission to kill Osama bin Laden claims to directly contradict the Obama administration’s depiction of the operation, The Washington Examiner reported Friday.

“SEAL Target Geronimo: The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama bin Laden,” by former SEAL commander Chuck Pfarrer, claims to tell the true story of the successful raid to kill the terror chief on May 2.

According to a press release, the book takes “readers on the helicopter flight over the wall that leads deep into the terrorist lair and describing what it looked, sounded and smelled like as the bullets flew.”

The book also takes issue with the Obama administration’s characterization of the mission.

“In a hasty effort to claim victory and make political haste, administration aides changed their stories several times,” the release said. “Their leaks made SEAL Team Six look ineffective and clumsy.”

The book claims the SEALs landed on the roof of bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, rather than on the ground as the administration has stated. Pfarrer also writes that the mission took only 90 seconds, a far shorter time than the 40-minute raid the White House has described.

The 240-page book will be released on Nov. 8 by St. Martin’s Press.

Pfarrer has written one previous work of nonfiction, three novels, and several produced screenplays, most notably the 1997 box office hit “The Jackal” starring Bruce Willis and Richard Gere.

SEALs Are Not Fungible, Admiral Jackass

GulagBound

I have waited patiently all day for one of the websites owned, manned and run by . . . JOURNALISTS to pick this up, but I have yet to see a single word. When I read this late last night I was SHAKING with fury. SURELY one of the sites dedicated to JOURNALISM would be all over this come morning. Nope. Not a word. Unbelievable.

From the New York Times (aka the Litter Box Liner of Record), page A6 in the print edition:

Admiral Defends Use of Elite Unit in Calamitous Raid

“Since the crash, which resulted in the greatest loss of American life on a single day in the Afghan war, some analysts have questioned why an elite Navy Seals strike team was assigned as mere backup for an Army Ranger raid on an insurgent cell, and why so many Special Operations personnel were aboard a single helicopter. Admiral McRaven dismissed assertions that the most highly trained Navy and Army commando teams should be reserved solely for the most high-profile missions; he said they were regularly assigned to support commanders of units in a local area of combat if that contributed to the overall mission.

“We have to be fungible as a force,” Admiral McRaven said. “And if we are not fungible as a force, then we are not of value. It is not unusual at all for SEALs or Rangers or Army Special Operations forces to be part of a quick-reaction force, as in this case.”

Did you get that? SPECOPS have to be . . . fungible. This McRaven fool is the COMMANDER of American Special Operations forces. I guess he missed the subtle meaning behind the word “SPECIAL” in “SPECIAL Forces”. Dear God.

See, this is what these slithering degenerate cowards do. They throw out a six dollar word that they know only one tenth of one percent of the people know the meaning of, everyone nods in agreement because they don’t know what the word “fungible” means, and then slick as you like just sweep the entire thing under the rug. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if McRaven himself didn’t know what the word “fungible” meant. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if McRaven thought it had to do with mushrooms.

Here is what “fungible” means.

Fungibility is the property of a good or a commodity whose individual units are capable of mutual substitution, such as crude oil, wheat, precious metals or currencies. For example, if someone lends another person a $10 bill, it does not matter if they are given back the same $10 bill or a different one, since currency is fungible.

Are you shaking with fury yet? The commander of U.S. SPECOPS wants to make the special operators he commands LESS SPECIAL. He visualizes a military in which a DEVGRU Navy SEAL could be substituted with a reserve guardsman or vice-versa – because remember, fungibility is all about MUTUAL substitution.

Really Admiral? Really? The 15 DEVGRU SEALs that were killed on that Chinook were literally some of the most valuable tactical human military assets THAT HAVE EVER EXISTED IN ALL OF HUMAN HISTORY. These DEVGRU men aren’t just SEALs, they are the absolute elite of the elite. Most of them are in their early to mid 30s, and have YEARS of combat experience in the other SEAL Teams before being hand-picked to join DEVGRU. Let’s run it down:

SEAL training is the toughest in the world. The first step for a man who volunteers to enter SEAL training is 4-12 weeks of prep courses followed by 3 weeks of “indoctrination”. Then comes the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) course. By the end of this 25-week course the wash-out rate is over 90 percent. There have been BUD/S courses in which every man washed out. For the very, very few who make it through BUD/S, next comes the 26-week SEAL Qualification Training (SQT). Beyond that, many SEALS also go through the 26-week Special Operations Combat Medic course. After all of that, the SEALs then go through 18 MONTHS of predeployment training. It takes a minimum of 30 months to fully train a SEAL for his first deployment.

Oh, but we’re just getting started. After spending YEARS on the ground in combat, gaining priceless experience on top of their already best-in-the-world training, a very, very select few SEALs are tapped to join DEVGRU (United States Naval Special Warfare Development Group). That is why most DEVGRU guys are over 30. They are highly experienced, stand-out SEALS. How much of a complete bad@$$ do you have to be to stand out . . . in a group of SEALs?

DEVGRU is the best of the best of the best. But even DEVGRU is split into four assault squadrons: Red, Blue, Silver and Gold. The Gold Squadron is the “premier” squadron, in other words, the best of the best of the best of the best of the best. Okay, now try to get your head around how special the men are who stand out not just among other Navy SEALs, but beyond that stand out amongst DEVGRU SEALs. Gold Squadron DEVGRU SEALs make Superman feel insecure.

Guess who was on that Chinook. An entire 15-man troop from Gold Squadron DEVGRU. I kid you not. An entire troop of the most valuable human tactical and combat assets in not just the United States Military, but all militaries across all of the centuries of human civilization and warfare – packed into one National Guard transport helo in a massive, massive breach of dispersion protocol, accompanied by 10 (I think) more SEALs (further compounding the breach of dispersion protocol), the Chinook crew, and SEVEN Afghanis who stood a non-trivial risk of being spies/turncoats/suicide bombers.

And this McRaven idiot has the unmitigated gall to come out and spew some line of crap about FUNGIBILITY? We need to treat Gold Squadron DEVGRU SEALs like interchangeable commodity units?

Again, every single human being is infinitely precious, but when we are talking about war, we have to be able to parse the difference in TACTICAL value between different skillsets among our men. This is in no way immoral. From a TACTICAL COMBAT PERSPECTIVE, the notion of applied fungibility is utter and complete lunacy. It is certifiably insane. It is mission-suicidal and borders on being treasonous. Do you hear me, McRaven? Mission-suicidal and borderline treasonous.

“I’m not sure I know how it ends,” [McRaven] said. “This may be the ‘new normal,’ in terms of this threat that we will have to live with for a long time.”

Let me tell you “how it ends”, Admiral Pantspisser. It ends in swift, total, complete and unconditional victory. Either get your head around that or resign. We The People are sick and tired of politicking, imbecilic, touchy-feely asses like you using the treasure of this nation as cannon fodder to justify your self-serving politically correct agenda and whose dead bodies you step on to clamber your way up the payscale/pension ladder. Admiral McRaven, you have proven yourself wholly unqualified for your position at best, and a disgrace to the United States Navy and a water-carrying oath-breaker at worst. Men like you make me sick, and make me weep for my country and for the men under your command, the soles of whose boots you are not fit to lick. Hope you enjoy that pension, Billy, because you had to sell out your country and your brothers to get it.

Who Sabotaged our Navy SEALs?

Red State

*Who precisely authorized the mission in which our elite Navy SEALs lost 22 special forces troops in the Afghanistan Chinook helicopter crash incident?

*Who loaded all these elite troops – from the same SEAL Team Six group that took out bin Laden – onto one slow-moving CH-47D chopper, notorious for its lack of maneuverability, and sent it into a combat zone?

*Was this a sabotage of our SEALs, an inside job among the Afghans traveling with the SEALs? Or is this just an example of our newly incompetent, politically-correct military, with homosexuals now being ushered in and women taking over command in places they’ve never earned it?

*Are not elite forces usually broken up into smaller units and do not they use faster choppers like the Black Hawk so that they don’t get bogged down, sometimes without backup, or shot down in one big juicy target like the 16.5 ton Boeing-made Chinook which was introduced to the US military in…. 1962!? The Chinook is a two-rotor, multi-mission transport unit that is generally used to move troops, ammo, fuel and other supplies. It is not a combat chopper.

*Were there any verbal protests beforehand from the SEALs over the dangerous arrangement that ferried them in one group into a hot landing zone (LZ)?

*Were any Afghan army higher-ups involved in the decision to send the troops in, the higher-ups who are supposed to be “helping” our effort?

*Did traitor translators pass on the “information” that important Taliban leaders were meeting in the target zone when in fact it was all a trap?

Nikitas3.com will be watching this story. There must be a congressional investigation. There is something very, very troubling about all this. The facts must come out.

A senior Afghan official said that a Taliban commander Qari Tahir lured US forces to the scene with information that a Taliban meeting was taking place and that the Taliban knew precisely where the chopper was going to come in.

There are questions buzzing around the internet about the mission, including that the plain-vanilla Chinook belonged to a National Guard unit, while dedicated Chinooks for special ops were sitting idle.

One commenter on veteranstoday.com who had seen action in Vietnam said: ‘Chinooks… were only for back up operations after an LZ was secured, and never used for a combat assault/insertion into a hot LZ.’

Here are two exchanges from longwarjournal.org that appear to exonerate the military, with nikitas3.com comments after each:

Question: Why was such a slow and fat chopper used for this important mission? “If one were transporting a very valuable object of art or a critically important one-of-a-kind document or an irreplaceable statue, would one do it in a Chinook Helicopter?” one blogger asks. “These machines are loud, create swirls of dust, have wide freeboard, are cumbersome and ungainly with little in the way of countermeasure capability.” LWJ Reply: Fair point. But because the SEALs were part of a Quick Reaction Force — they were coming to the aid of pinned-down Rangers — there had to be enough on hand to deal with the mission. UH-60 Black Hawks can only carry about 10, a third the passenger load of a Chinook. Two or three Black Hawks would have generated more, albeit smaller, targets, but would have complicated coordination and communication. Plus, the Chinook’s tandem-rotor design gives it more lift in and around Afghanistan’s mountains than the UH-60. Nikitas3.com comment: Three quick, smaller Black Hawks would be better than one big, slow target. Common sense says so. Coordination and communication? Anyone heard of radios? This reply does not make sense. It does not answer the question about concentrating the troops in one chopper.

Question: Why were there so many of the nation’s best-trained special operators on a single mission to rescue Rangers — no slouches, them — who themselves had been dispatched to kill or capture a mid-level Taliban commander? “First of all why was an entire DEVGRU [U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group, aka as Seal Team 6] platoon conducting a generic nightraid against Taliban/Haqqani foot soldiers???” another blogger wonders. “The risk vs. reward just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. These guys are our BEST trained assets in the military so why would they be exposed to such a “low-yield” operation where there was no HVT [High Value Target] present?…it’s mind boggling that a special missions unit such as DEVGRU would be doing run-of-the-mill raids that are normally carried out [by] `green’ Special Operations forces. i.e. Rangers, Green Berets, and `standard’ SEALs.” LWJ Reply: Also a fair point, but misleading. SEAL Team 6 can’t be placed on a shelf, awaiting another once-in-a-decade mission to take out the next Osama bin Laden. These guys are the nation’s best because they practice their skills relentlessly, including regular assignments as a Quick Reaction Force. To be primed to get OBL, they need to train at a high level — ideally by repeatedly performing real-world assignments in the theater where they may be called on to carry out such missions. Nikitas3.com comment: It still does not answer the question: Why were the SEALs concentrated in a slow-moving helicopter. We need to find out precisely who authorized that mission as configured. That person should be court-martialed and jailed.

Of course Obama rushed to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to greet the returning remains of the fallen SEALs as his polls plummet. Perhaps now he knows what “fallen heroes” really means. Remember when he said on Memorial Day 2010, “On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today…”

Oh, there’s your answer why the Chinook incident happened!

SEAL TEAM 6 – INVESTIGATE THE WHITE HOUSE

America DEMANDS a U.S. Congressional investigation into leaking the deaths of SEAL TEAM 6.

Obama Guilty of Betraying Navy Seals Team Six Secrecy Made Them Prey of Muslim Terrorism

THURSDAY, 11 AUGUST 2011 06:34 ELIANA BENADOR

In case you wondered, of course Barry O is trying to use the deaths of the SEALs and air crew in Afghanistan for his own aggrandizement. Even though most of the families specifically requested no media coverage of the return of the remains of the fallen, that doesn't apply to the campaign staff WH photographer. So we get a pic of Barry trying his damndest to look like a leader.

Up until now, I have managed to control my revolt against the massacre perpetrated against our 22 men from the foremost elite military unit, whose training requires no less than three and a half years of to be a Navy SEAL in addition to another two years of training and deployments to even be considered to SEAL Team Six.
THIS is a team trained to target the planners of terror attacks.  These are our men who actually are saving countless lives of potential victims.  SEAL Team Six are saviors in the face of bestial terrorists whose goal is to cause innocent victims out of unsuspecting citizens in times of peace.

rsn_betrayal_175Let’s rewind to the time when Osama Bin Laden was captured.

Who can forget that occasion when the current president of the United States of America, Mr. Obama, spoke to the nation and ended up unveiling the existence of Navy SEAL Team Six, a team that until now then only in some circles was rumored to be, but no paper trace could be found about it.

True, it was not Obama the first one to unveil their existence but someone on his staff.  But, and here goes my first enunciation: No one says anything in Obama team unless he has put his seal of approval.  AND, he repeated it loud and clear for us all to hear.

By doing so, the president behaved in the most dangerous way.  He basically confirmed the existence of this hyper-qualified team of heroes and gave them as prey for the terrorists who would sooner or later target them.

My assumption is that after all, it must have been the most difficult thing for Islamophile Obama to order the killing of “brother” Osama.  Therefore, wouldn’t the killing of 22 members of the American elite Navy SEAL Team Six be an appropriate exchange for the Muslim world’s loss of one of their contemporary heroes…?

As it is, news of these 22 incomparable, irreplaceable men, disappeared from our news stream these days.  One had to really go out of our ways to find ‘some’ information.

So, now all of a sudden, secrecy was established.

Again, MSM showed signs of its mesalliance with Obama and his Administration.

Tuesday, August 9th, the remains of our heroes arrived and it was not possible for any photographer or cameras to be present.

America was robbed from honoring her heroes and from the patriotic feeling their massacre could have originated -especially during Ramadan month.

Instead, we were handed the picture of Obama saluting….  for all I know he could have been anywhere, as no cases containing the remains were shown.

Immediately after the massacre had happened, the Administration and its Department of Defense, dismissed the fact that the loss of 22 of our elite commandos would change anything.

Despite objections from several media organizations, Obama’s Pentagon had banned any news media coverage of the ceremony, the so-called “dignified transfer,” arguing that “any public depiction of the scene would violate the wishes of bereaved families.”

The Pentagon said that 19 of 30 families said they did not want media coverage.  But how so?  Did the families really refuse that their men killed in action, be given a hero reception throughout every second of their last path?

In one of the sentences from the AP article, states that

“The Pentagon has said it expects to identify all 38 people who died, 30 U.S. troops and eight Afghans, and will return their remains to families for burial. The Pentagon planned to release the names of all Americans who died on Thursday, after an internal debate over whether doing so might endanger families of the SEAL Team 6 troops. Other members of that same elite special operations team killed Osama bin Laden in May.”

See the wording:  “… all 38 people who died, 30 U.S. troops and eight Afghans…”

That’s a key phrase because it brings down the importance of the 22 most elite American commanders in the war on terror, mixing them within the 38.  They become 30 U.S. troops of 38 “people” AND eighth Afghans….

This is what it’s all about.

The further demolition of our true elites, the men who are such patriots, that they submit themselves and their families to all sacrifices, including the most ultimate one, they give their lives for our country, for us.

How can a president who is friend and defender of the enemy, feel when he sees those caskets when they are be a reminder that after all, he may be one of the causes why those men are laying in those caskets, having departed leaving full families behind.

They may have had their lives taken because of an irresponsible president -or was that purposefully done, when Obama told the world that for sure a Navy SEAL Team Six actually exists?

Furthermore, the Pentagon planned to release the names of all Americans who died on Thursday, “after an internal debate over whether doing so might endanger families of the SEAL Team 6 troops.”

So, now they are worried about ‘endangering the families of SEAL Team 6,” and this is, again, a very key element because it confirms the fact that  when the president mentioned them was utter violation of secrecy uncovering our most secretly guarded weapon to protect the safety of our country.

When former SEAL Team Six member Don Mann spoke with News Channel 3 last month, he was concerned about an upcoming Discovery Channel documentary claiming to reveal secrets of SEAL Team Six.  ”SEAL Team Six is supposed to be a secret. It always was a secret,” says Mann.

Donald Mann, who says he trained many current SEAL Team Six men, showed concern about how leaked information compromised the commandos.

Naturally, the first leak of all leaks in this case began with Obama, president of the United States, whose obligation is to protect America and Americans, including the top commandos of Navy SEAL Team Six.

And yet, he managed to make it about himself with his White House so-called “Photo of the Day” at the arrival of the cases, with no cases to be seen, only he.

Meanwhile, true to his beliefs, the president in one more disgraceful performance, has hosted last night an Iftar dinner at the White House.  Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during Islamic month of Ramadan and is one of the religious observances of Ramadan, done often as a community gathering to break the fast together.

Among Obama’s guests, were two Muslims representatives in Congress, but also ambassadors of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, among others.

Insensitive to the fact that Muslim terrorists of Taliban had just killed 22 top commanders of our foremost military elite and the fact that Muslim terrorism continues to target our country, Obama went ahead at his Iftar dinner last night and honored the American Muslims that were killed in the September 11, 2011 terrorist attacks.

At no point in American History has any president had such an anti-American agenda that jeopardizes the mere existence of America so much as Barack Hussein Obama.
